Celebrating Pride with Stonewall Chico
Stonewall Chico Pride features events throughout June, hosted by Stonewall Chico and our community partners. This includes the Downtown Festival on June 6th. Like Pride celebrations around the world, Stonewall Chico Pride is a time for our local LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together in joy and solidarity. "Pride" is more than just an event; it's a powerful expression of identity, a celebration of our resilience, and a commitment to building a more equitable and accepting society right here in Butte County and beyond. It's an opportunity to be visible, to connect with others, and to support the ongoing work towards LGBTQ+ equality. Our multi-day festival embodies this spirit through diverse events that offer something for everyone.

About Stonewall Chico Pride
Stonewall Chico Pride is the largest LGBTQ+ event between Sacramento to the Oregon border, and one of the biggest annual festivals in the Butte County area. It’s a celebration of diversity; uniting, strengthening and affirming the LGBTQ+ Community and our allies. Our Pride typically has 4 days packed full of events for all ages, interests, identities and walks of life. Chico Pride usually pulls in between 5,000 and 7,000 attendees each year.
Chico Pride has previously been held in August but has been now celebrated in June
Stonewall Chico Pride is planned by a team of around 20 volunteers, community partners and Stonewall staff, interns, and board members. It is chaired by Stonewall’s on-staff Event Coordinator, and hosted by Stonewall Alliance- Chico’s nonprofit LGBTQ+ center.
All proceeds go toward funding Stonewall Alliance’s nonprofit programs including free and confidential HIV testing, gender affirming resources, social and support groups, advocacy and training, and more.
