What Do Our Groups Offer?
The Social and Support groups we offer at the Stonewall Alliance Center are diverse and we are trying to add more as resources allow. Our groups are safe confidential spaces where members can vent and feel understood on a peer level regarding personal topics.
The groups we currently offer vary by age group and are meant not only for LGBTQ+ folks but also loved ones and allies. Click the links below for the different support group pages. Read specific group descriptions and learn more about the intended group members, time and location of the support group, and who the group facilitators are.

What are the support group policies?
Due to the sensitive topics discussed in some of our support groups we ask all group attendees to follow these etiquette guidelines:
Protect the confidentiality of the other group attendees. Group attendees may not be comfortable with other folks knowing what they share in group, lets all try to respect that by not naming individuals who are in a support group to folks who are not involved in the group.
Our support groups are for support, not for finding dates or hooking up. Having a place to share feelings and thoughts in a supportive space is rare. Let’s try to respect that support space in a non-sexualized manner.
We’re all learning more about the LGBTQ+ community. If a group attendee isn’t familiar with certain terms or how to properly use pronouns, try to help them out. Additionally, if you make a mistake, please be receptive to the guidance other group attendees give you, and correct the mistake. If you would like more pointers on this specific type of etiquette, please read our Action Tips for Ally-Ship Page
