CURRENT OPEN ROLES

Administrative Assistant

  • Role: Learn the inner workings of a non-profit organization by drafting policies and procedures, creating reports, designing funding plans, and developing community partnerships.

  • Ideal For: Individuals interested in organizational management, policy development, and strategic planning.

Events Assistant

  • Role: Assist in planning and executing events, including organizing volunteers, managing logistics, coordinating equipment, gathering donations, handling decor, and supporting marketing efforts.

  • Ideal For: Those passionate about event management, logistics, and community engagement.

Grant Writing

  • Role: Write grants for the center, create a schedule of funding sources, and compile reports to present to foundations.

  • Ideal For: Aspiring writers and those interested in fundraising, grant research, and financial planning.

Health Education

  • Role: Play a central role in informing our local LGBTQ+ community about important health topics, rights, and resources. Responsibilities include researching, curating, and creating accurate, accessible, and culturally-conscious materials on topics such as trans health, safer sex education, STD testing, and community wellness workshops.

  • Ideal For: Individuals interested in public health, education, and community wellness.

Research & Advocacy

  • Role: Keep our center updated on current events, law changes, historical moments, and local issues to make our programs more intersectional and accessible. Collaborate with the Advocacy & Education Coordinator to curate and create community materials, info packets, workshops, public posts, and a comprehensive resource database.

  • Ideal For: Those passionate about research, policy advocacy, and social justice.

Communication and Social Media

  • Role: Create graphics, art, videos, and photos for electronic and print materials to engage and inform the local LGBTQ+ and ally community about Stonewall’s programs, services, and events. Write and disseminate content to keep the community informed about announcements from partnered organizations, current events, and community-wide information.

  • Ideal For: Creative individuals with skills in graphic design, video production, writing, and digital marketing.
