COUNSELING PROGRAM ASSOCIATE:

These positions are open to folks pursuing their practicum hours of a mental health practitioner license. For more information on becoming one of our counselors through the associate program, contact the Counseling Program Supervisor, Nicole Kessler, at nicole@stonewallchico.org.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:

Learn what it takes to run a non-profit including drafting policies and procedures, creating reports, design funding plans for programs and developing community partnerships.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH: NOT AVAILABLE DURING COVID-19 CLOSURE.

Coordinate public relations tabling events and help coordinate volunteers to attend; build relationships with local community partners.

EVENTS ASSISTANT:

Assist in the planning and implementation of events - everything from organizing volunteers and data to logistics and equipment, gathering donations, decor, marketing, and more.

GRANT WRITING:

Write grants for the center, create schedule of funding sources and make reports to present to foundations.

HEALTH EDUCATION:

Play a central role in keeping our local LGBTQ+ community informed about important health topics, rights, and resources. From Trans* health, to safer sex education, STD testing, and community wellness workshops - this intern helps research, curate, and create relevant, accurate, accessible, and culturally-conscious materials for the LGBTQ+ community. 

RESEARCH & ADVOCACY:

Keep our center up to date on current events, law changes, historical moments, and local issues and opportunities in order to make our programs more intersectional and accessible. With the goal of strong advocacy, they will work collaboratively with the Advocacy & Education Coordinator to curate and create community materials, info packets, workshops, public posts, and a comprehensive resource database.

VISUAL & GRAPHICS FOCUSED PUBLIC RELATIONS:

Create graphics and/or art, videos, and photos for electronic and print materials to engage and inform the local LGBTQ+ and ally community about Stonewall’s programs, services and events.

WRITING & STRATEGY FOCUSED PUBLIC RELATIONS:

Write and disseminate electronic and print materials to engage and inform the local LGBTQ+ and ally community about Stonewall’s programs, services and events as well as announcements from partnered organizations, current events, and community-wide information.
