DROP IN PHYSICIAN HOURS: Fri: 10 am-noon

Offers syringe disposal, service referrals, and education. Referrals include housing service referrals, treatment service referrals, and medical referrals. Education offered includes proper syringe disposal, safer injection techniques, and risk reduction. The following supplies are also offered: sharps containers, other safe injection supplies (alcohol swabs, sterile water, cookers, tourniquet, cotton), fentanyl testing kits, first aid supplies, naloxone, condoms. Offers rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing by test counselors who have completed 40-hour training. Counselors are trained in administering tests and providing counseling to individuals whose test results are positive. NVHRC also provides testing kits. Access to food pantry and basic needs supplies including; hygiene products, adult diapers and menstruation supplies such as pads and tampons. Access to a telephone landline and a computer for research and email is also available.

Text messages and voicemails left on the line should detail the location of the syringe litter for follow up and disposal by the mobile collection team.
In person- There is a syringe disposal drop box available on site 24/7. The drop box cannot accept sharps containers larger than 1.5 quarts.
Please do not dispose of loose syringes in the drop box, you may use a plastic bottle with a lid as an alternative. To make an appointment, call 530-332-8065 or drop in during open clinic hours on Fridays from 10 am-noon.

BUTTE COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

HOURS OF OPERATION: Monday- Friday 8 am- 5 pm.

Four offices for substance use and mental health resources, including medication-assisted treatment, and adult outpatient care open to anyone age 18. There is also a perinatal program to help pregnant women and women with children to access substance use and behavioral health care.

ELIGIBILITY: Substance use: have substance use, are in the process of getting clean, or have recently relapsed, experiencing mental health dilemma.

FEES: Medi-Cal based, billed through insurance. If uninsured: Will have someone on-site help with filling out forms to apply for Medi-Cal, as Medi-Cal is required.

FOR: Anyone seeking treatment for mental health issues or substance use.

CSU CHICO WELLCAT AND PREVENTION


HOURS OF OPERATION:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
Wednesday 9:30 am - 5:00pm

For CSU students, educate them on safe substance use and help from staff. They also provide fentanyl test strips and Naloxone. Sometimes has mutual support groups from others struggling with addiction.

ELIGIBILITY: For CSU Chico enrolled students only.

FEES: No fees for students

GLENN COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

Counseling, treatment services: outpatient services, residential treatment, prevention services. They have a youth-based one that ends at 18/19, have childcare, group based on strengthening relationship dynamics and developing healthy coping skills.

ELIGIBILITY: Treatment: assessment process meets criteria, if you don’t qualify they’d refer you to lower-level prevention services

FEES: Is covered by Medi-Cal, if private it depends, if uninsured: fee waiver, if they meet financial criteria, sliding scale preventive and group services, are free.

FOR: Ages range from youth to older adults

PARADISE LIFE RESOURCE

Life coaching for people with addiction plan out what to do after addiction, how to transition into normal culture.

ELIGIBILITY: Anyone can access these resources, regardless of age, etc.

FEES:  $75 1st session is free, Sliding scale and a benevolence fund to help pay for those who can’t afford their services.

FOR: They serve anyone ranging from kids to the elderly.

AREA SERVED: Typically serves Chico and Paradise but not restricted hours, also works with first responders and firefighters and the county.
