RAPID HIV & HEPATITIS C TESTING

Offers rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing by test counselors who have completed 40-hour training. Counselors are trained in administering tests and providing counseling to individuals whose test results are positive. NVHRC also provides testing kits. The testing procedure for HIV involves swabbing of the mouth for an oral fluid sample and for Hepatitis C a finger poke for a blood sample and using a kit to test it. Results are available in 20 minutes.
